Company Description

Windsor Montessori School, the first Montessori school in Berkshire, has offered child-centered early years education since 1980. With two settings on the Crown Estate in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, the school provides carefully prepared environments for babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. The team is dedicated to nurturing confident, independent, lifelong learners through a rich, holistic learning experience. The school works closely with parents to create safe, welcoming, multi-sensory spaces where children feel valued, respected, and motivated to reach their full potential. Respect for individuality, self-belief, and social responsibility are at the heart of its educational approach.

Role Description

The Early Years Practitioner – Level 3 will provide high-quality care and education for children in line with Montessori principles and early years frameworks. This full-time, on-site role is based in Windsor and involves planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. The practitioner will observe and record children’s progress, contribute to individual learning plans, and help maintain a stimulating, safe, and orderly classroom environment. Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with children, families, and colleagues, and to build positive, professional relationships.
  • Solid knowledge of early childhood development and early years frameworks, with experience applying developmentally appropriate practices in an early years setting.
  • Demonstrated creativity skills in planning and delivering engaging, multi-sensory learning experiences that foster curiosity and independence.
  • Experience working with children in nursery or preschool environments, with a genuine commitment to child-centered, inclusive practice.
  • Effective organization skills, including record-keeping, time management, and maintaining a well-prepared and safe learning environment.
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and equality, diversity and inclusion in early years education.
  • Experience or interest in Montessori education is highly beneficial; first aid certification and knowledge of the EYFS are an advantage.
