Our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Crews Hole - Bristol is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

Our Approach

At Kiddi Caru Crews Hole, we follow a child‑centred curriculum rooted in the Curiosity Approach, encouraging children to explore, investigate and learn through play. Our programme includes themed activities such as Make & Bake, Move & Groove, Innovate & Investigate, Sow & Grow and Health & Self to nurture creativity, confidence and a love of learning.

Our Location

Located at 261 Crews Hole Road, St George, Bristol, BS5 8BE, our nursery sits at the base of Troopers Hill Nature Reserve, providing a calm, nature‑rich setting for outdoor play and exploration. It’s easily accessible from all parts of Bristol with good links to the city centre.

Our Team

Our experienced, dedicated team provide high‑quality care and education. Each child is supported by a key worker who builds a strong bond, helping children feel secure and confident. Our SENCo ensures tailored support for individual needs so every child can thrive.

Facilities

The nursery is spread over two welcoming floors with bright, well‑resourced playrooms designed for all stages of early years. Outdoor spaces include a secure courtyard and a large garden with views of nature, giving children plenty of room to develop gross motor skills and enjoy outdoor learning.

Activities

Children enjoy a range of engaging activities that support developmental milestones. Sessions such as Sing and Sign help build communication skills, while Boogie Mites combines music, movement and play to encourage confidence, coordination and physical development.

Community Outings

We promote community connection and confidence through regular outings, including visits to local greenspaces and monthly trips to a care home where children interact with older residents, fostering empathy and intergenerational friendships.

Parent Partnerships

Families stay connected through a nursery app with real‑time updates on meals, activities and milestones, helping parents feel informed and involved in their child’s day‑to‑day learning.

Ofsted

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery & Preschool in Crews Hole was rated “Good” by Ofsted in its most recent inspection with inspectors highlighting the positive learning environment and children’s wellbeing.

What Will You Be Doing

Promote high standards of quality within the nursery Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers Develop open and positive working relationships with staff Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
