We are looking for an experienced Early Years Childcare Practitioner to join the team at the Christie Day Nursery to cover a maternity leave post. We are looking for a an outgoing, committed qualified professional who will be required to work as part of a team providing effective childcare in line with Trust and Nursery policies.
The post holder will be required to work across the nursery setting to maintain Ofsted adult to child ratio’s caring for all children meeting their individual needs e.g., feeding, changing, emotional support and educational development in line with the Early Years Framework.
NVQ level 3 in childcare or above, Early years educator NNEB Cache Level 3 The candidate Must have sound knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Current training in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Health and Safety. Have Good communication skills, ability to lead and motivate team colleagues, to be organised and manage your time effectively produce written documentation accurately. Thorough knowledge of Ofsted standards and procedures and be able to take part in Ofsted inspections and early year’s visits and monitoring. Strong Communication skills. Ability to use own initiative, share ideas and be innovative and work well within a team. To plan quality and interesting activities in line with the EYFS; taking in consideration Children’s individual needs and interest. Ability to be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times. To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the setting.
