Nursery – Early Years Practitioner (Bright Horizons Wimbledon Day Nursery and Preschool)
Salary & Location
- Salary: Starting from £31,158.40 per annum (Full-time equivalent – Pro-rata as needed), based on qualification/experience
- Location: Wimbledon, London
Situated near:
- Wimbledon Station & South Wimbledon Tube Station (8-min walk)
- Merton Park Tram Stop
- Bus routes: Routes 152, 163, 164, 53, 131, and 93, providing links to: Surbiton, Kingston, Putney, Tooting, Mitcham, Balham, Clapham, Streatham, Richmond, and beyond.
- Car parking available for driving staff

About the Nursery
The Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Bright Horizons Wimbledon Nursery offers:
- A dedicated children’s kitchen
- An ICT room
- Four expansive outdoor learning areas for children aged from infants to early school years.
The role is for lunch cover in the Baby Room.

Your responsibilities include:
- Plan, create, implement, and reflect on engaging, tailored activities for children, in line with individual milestones.
- Foster an inclusive, sweet, safe environment where children can:
- Express themselves freely
- Engage minds creatively
- Develop a lifelong love of learning
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery:
- Align activities with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to ensure holistic development.
- Child Safety & Welfare:
- Adhere to strict safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Build trusting partnerships with families and colleagues.
- Diverse & Inclusive Environments:
- Lead fun, research-backed learning experiences suitable for mixed abilities.
- Team Collaboration:
- Support teamwork in an open, creative space.
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Level 3 or above in Early Years (e.g., CACHE, City & Guilds).
- Experience:
- Prior experience with young children in a care/educational setting preferred.
- Personal Traits:
- Passion for early years education.
- Dedication to ensuring each child’s unique needs are met.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge.
Work Commitments
Lunch halts ( shifts not eligible for regular hours in the description).
