This is a very exciting time for Archbishop Wake Nursery!
Since becoming part of Archbishop Wake CE Primary School's provision in September, we are looking to grow our already successful nursery provision for children aged 0-4.
The setting is a thriving, forward-thinking and caring environment which is dedicated to enabling the best start in life for all children.
We are looking to expand and grow our provision, and we need a dedicated, ambitious and caring room lead to join our friendly team in the next phase of our journey.
We have three rooms within the nursery (0-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-4 years) and can be flexible which room the successful candidate would lead. Being part of the school provision, you will benefit from being well supported, having access to excellent, bespoke professional development and being supported through working within a much larger organisation (Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust - DSAT).
We want our staff to thrive so we offer an extensive range of wellness services and professional learning opportunities to support growth and development. Please visit our website for further details: Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust - Wellness
This role will provide you with many opportunities to learn new skills, solve problems and adapt to different situations. Every day is different and exciting - you can get creative, messy and encourage the children to explore the world through play.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
