Early Years Skills Coach/Tutor - North West
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 (FTE)
This role offers a blend of home-based working and travel within the Manchester/ North West area to visit learners in their workplace, therefore candidates must be based within the Manchester Area. In addition, there will be a requirement to attend training sessions in Wolverhampton.

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Early Years Skills Coach/Tutor to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in inspiring and supporting apprentices as they work towards their qualifications. From delivering dynamic training sessions to providing one-to-one coaching and assessment, you’ll be instrumental in guiding learners towards success.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging and interactive group training sessions, including induction
- Support apprentices through one-to-one coaching and workplace visits
- Assess and provide feedback on apprentices’ portfolios
- Deliver English and maths Functional Skills up to Level 2
- Monitor progress, set challenging targets, and help learners achieve their goals
- Maintain high levels of apprentice attendance, retention, and achievement
What We’re Looking For
- A background in Early Years with at least two years’ experience in the sector within the last three years
- Experience delivering training to 16+ learners and adults
- A passion for coaching, mentoring, and supporting apprentices to reach their full potential
- A Level 3 Teaching Qualification (or willingness to achieve within six months)
- A TAQA or equivalent assessor qualification (or willingness to achieve within six months)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and engaging approach

As this is a peripatetic role, you’ll need a full driving licence and access to a car, as training will take place across employer locations.
