Early Years Skills Coach/Tutor – West Midlands

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 (FTE)

Some home-based work; however, regular visits to learners’ workplaces are required. Must be based within the West Midlands region.


About the Role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of Early Years professionals? Do you thrive on delivering impactful training? If so, this Early Years Skills Coach/Tutor role offers an incredible opportunity to inspire and support apprentices as they pursue their qualifications.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver dynamic training sessions
  • Provide one-to-one coaching and workplace assessments
  • Guide learners to success with engaging retraining and mentorship

Responsibilities

  • Deliver interactive group training (including induction)
  • Offer personalised one-to-one coaching and workplace visits
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on apprentices’ portfolios
  • Teach English & Maths Functional Skills up to Level 2
  • Monitor progress, set challenging goals, and boost retention and achievement
  • Ensure strong apprentice attendance and success rates

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Early Years (within the last three years)
  • Experience training adult learners (16+)
  • A true passion for coaching, mentoring, and apprentices’ success
  • Level 3 Teaching Qualification (or commitment to achieve within six months)
  • TAQA or equivalent assessor qualification (or commitment to achieve within six months)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full driving licence and vehicle access (peripatetic role requiring travel)
