Early Years Supervisor & Nursery Practitioners

Location: Surrey

Job Type:

  • Full-Time
  • Part-Time
  • Bank Opportunities

Salary Prospective:

  • Nursery Practitioner (Qualified): Up to £27,934 per annum
  • Early Years Supervisor: Up to £27,934 per annum plus £1,000 market supplement
  • Bank Staff (Hourly Rate): Up to £14.75 per hour

About the Role

Our client is seeking enthusiastic and caring Early Years Supervisors and Nursery Practitioners to join a well-established nursery setting with capacity for 90 children. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about:

  • Supporting children’s early development
  • Providing high-quality care
  • Delivering engaging learning experiences
  • Building positive relationships with families

Opportunities are available on a full-time, part-time, and bank basis.

A welcome bonus is available for successful candidates:

  • £500 for Level 3 qualified practitioners
  • £250 for Level 2 qualified practitioners (Terms and conditions apply.)

Main Responsibilities

Core Duties for All Positions

  • Support children in play-based learning and development activities.
  • Deliver high-quality care throughout daily routines, including:
    • Meal times
    • Rest periods
    • Personal care activities
  • Create stimulating and engaging learning environments to encourage exploration.
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and development.
  • Plan activities that support individual learning and developmental needs.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with:
    • Parents and carers
    • Colleagues
  • Promote children’s wellbeing, safety, and safeguarding at all times.
  • Support inclusive and nurturing environments where every child can thrive.

Additional Responsibilities for Early Years Supervisors

  • Provide leadership and support to nursery team members where required.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for childcare and early years education.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with:
    • Children
    • Adults
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills.
  • A relevant Early Years or Childcare qualification (desirable).
  • Understanding of:
    • Child development
    • Safeguarding principles (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • A positive, caring, and professional approach.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality childcare and learning experiences.
