Early Years Teacher (EYTS / QTS Nursery Teacher)
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 FTE
Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week over 5 days
Location: 1 role available at each of the following sites - Wakefield, Alverthorpe, Skelmanthorpe (Huddersfield)

Be an Inspirational Early Years Teacher at Nurtured Childcare.
The Role
As an Early Years Teacher at Nurtured Childcare, you will create inspirational learning opportunities that support children’s development through play, exploration, creativity, and nurturing relationships. You will lead engaging experiences including outdoor learning, creative arts, woodwork, music, cooking, and exploring the wonders of the world.
You will work collaboratively with families and colleagues to provide high-quality care and education that supports every child to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Plan and provide engaging, child-centered inspirational learning opportunities
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing, development, and independence
- Create inclusive learning environments that support children with SEND
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and records & identify emerging needs early
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Promote safeguarding, health & safety, and wellbeing always
- Support and contribute to a positive team culture
- Lead by example and maintain high professional standards

Essential Requirements
- Thinking outside the box, adaptable practice to meet all needs & interests
- A positive attitude, the ability to make children, families and team smile each day
- Passion for outdoor learning and creative approaches to teaching
- Experience working within nurturing and inclusive environments early years settings
- Qualified Nursery Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
- Minimum 2 yrs childcare experience, preferably within early years.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Understanding of quality teaching standards
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Full DBS check
