Early Years Teacher

Academics is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join a well-regarded school in Barking and Dagenham from September 2026.

This is a full-time contract role for one term initially, with the potential to be extended beyond the initial contract period for the right candidate.

The Early Years Teacher will play a vital role in both the pastoral care and early development of pupils, supporting children at a crucial stage in their learning journey.

Pupils benefit from a nurturing and stimulating environment where they develop strong early foundations and make excellent progress.

Nursery Class Teacher

Contract: 1-Term Contract - September 2026 Start
Potential for Extension Beyond Initial Contract
Full Time - Monday to Friday
Salary: M2-M6 (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Barking and Dagenham

The successful Nursery Class Teacher will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality early years provision within a Nursery setting
  • Support the social, emotional, and developmental needs of pupils
  • Plan and deliver a creative, play-based, and stimulating curriculum
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community

The school is seeking a Nursery Class Teacher who:

  • Has experience within Early Years and/or Nursery settings
  • Has high expectations and strong classroom practice
  • Is child-centred and passionate about early years education
  • Demonstrates creativity and confidence in delivering engaging, play-based learning
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Applications are welcomed from teachers with a range of experience, including both experienced practitioners and those earlier in their teaching careers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school for the Autumn Term, with the possibility of the role continuing beyond the initial contract period.
