Early Years Teaching Assistant
Early Years Teaching Assistant - Stafford - Start Date: September 2026
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools supporting their busy Early Years foundation Stage team. You'll be working on a temporary basis, through a trusted and established supply agency.
We are looking for an individual who has a friendly and caring nature and has a genuine passion for working and supporting children on a daily basis. You must be an organised, reliable and hardworking individual who can work from their own initiative but also as a team player who contributes to the greater community of school and school life.
The role includes:
- Providing support to children & staff on a daily basis within the Early Years setting.
- To collaborate and work alongside the class teacher to create plans on how to adapt and suit the needs of all children within an EYFS classroom.
- Supporting those children in the classroom whom may require more individualised support; liaising with the teacher to create a tailored plan in which how you will support the pupil.
- Comfortable communicating with staff, parents and external professionals.
- Comfortable in providing SEND support as required for individual pupils, including those with an EHCP.

We are looking for someone who:
- Can support a whole class within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Confidently able to implement learning activities, adapt resources and provide valuable support to every child during lesson time.
- Monitor progress; liaising with teachers, parents, SENDCo and external agencies.
- May be required to run small group interventions such as guided reading, phonics etc.
- Responsibilities may also include providing 1:1 support where needed.
- Able to foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Availability and Requirements:
- Available to start ASAP.
- Fully registered to work for Academics.
- Holds or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Willing to commute to Stafford daily.
- Pay £93 - £100 a day, holiday pay is included in the day rate.
