Reliable Contractors are currently looking to recruit a number of Earthworks Supervisors to support our projects in the West Midlands.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Earthworks Supervisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and earthworks who takes pride in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site operations, leading site teams, and ensuring work is completed on time with the highest consideration for Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all earthworks activities on site.
  • Lead and coordinate site operatives, plant operators, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and current legislation.
  • Carry out daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
  • Ensure RAMS are followed and updated where required.
  • Record daily progress, plant usage, labour, and site activities.
  • Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the workforce.

  • Proven experience supervising large-scale earthworks or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of bulk earthworks, cut and fill operations, muck shift, drainage, and site logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read drawings and work to programme.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Valid SSSTS.
  • CSCS Card. xlqdzyr
  • First Aid at Work (preferred).
