We have an exciting opportunity for a eBilling Assistant (12-month FTC) to join our Finance team, based in A&O Shearman's Belfast Office.

Finance team - Belfast

The Belfast Finance department provides services to the A&O Shearman network of offices covering management and financial accounting & reporting, revenue control (includes eBilling), credit control, accounts payable and tax.

There is a strong client service ethic and we work to Service Level Agreements, targets and deadlines to deliver in line with client expectations. The eBilling Team provide a global service to all offices including London, Belfast, US, META, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany, Italy, Spain, CEE, Greater China, Australia and ASEAN.

As an eBilling Assistant, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all eBilling transactions through the 3E finance system, and third party eBilling systems, as well as managing a ledger of unsubmitted eBills for specific offices in our network.

What you will do

  • Upload eBills into our eBilling portals
  • All related administrative duties as instructed by direct line lead in order to successfully submit our bills.
  • Obtain appropriate authorisations prior to transaction processing
  • Proactive management of eBilling ledgers
  • Data entry onto the finance system
  • Timekeeper maintenance and rate uploads
  • Deal with telephone and mailbox enquiries and queries
  • Provide general support and advice within the eBilling department
  • Appropriate electronic filing of all documentation
  • Deal with miscellaneous duties to assist in the smooth running of the department
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects

What you will have

  • Experience of working with eBilling systems and knowledge of the eBilling processes OR relevant third level qualification with finance/accounting as a major element.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi task to meet targets and tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active and flexible approach
  • Ability to assimilate large amounts of information quickly & learn rapidly.
  • Active team member who supports and engages with others and works effectively in a team
  • Shares knowledge and skills, and provides and accepts feedback
  • Excellent communicator and confident in interaction with others. Listens and understands issues from all perspectives and values other opinions
