Do you have a passion for Emergency and Critical Care, but prefer working days? Look no further!

To support the growth of our inpatient service we are seeking an additional dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to oversee inpatient care and manage emergency cases presenting through our Pet A&E service at our Teesside Hospital.

This role offers a stimulating and varied caseload with a strong medical focus, alongside opportunities to perform both emergency procedures and surgical emergency cases. You will play a key role in ensuring excellent continuity of care for our inpatients, while confidently handling same-day emergency presentations. Your primary responsibility will be to meet the clinical needs of our inpatients, whilst also providing high-quality care for emergency cases as they arise throughout the day.

Our Teesside hospital opened in January 2026 and has already grown a busy inpatient caseload whilst also delivering exceptional care across first opinion, referral and out-of-hours services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
