We’re now seeking an ECM Senior Analyst to join our Norwich team, leading portfolio-level catastrophe exposure analysis, underwriting decisions, risk reporting, and governance, while acting as a key technical expert in the Exposure Management function.
What You’ll Be Doing
Portfolio Management
- Produce and maintain portfolio-level exposure views and catastrophe loss roll-ups, with cross-class ownership (covering Marine and Energy segments).
Technical Analysis & Challenge
- Review, interpret, and challenge catastrophe model outputs.
- Articulate key risk drivers, movements, and uncertainties clearly across the business.
Governance & Data Quality
- Ensure data quality, robust assumptions, and comprehensive documentation.
- Lead audit superiority in exposure management processes.
Stakeholder & Committee Engagement
- Prepare analyses, insights, and papers for senior forums (ECMG and RCC).
- Influence underwriting and portfolio strategy at the governance level.

Technical Leadership & Improvement
- Serve as a senior reference point for technical expertise and peer review.
- Enhance tools, processes, and analytics to improve insight and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven expertise in catastrophe modelling and exposure management—ideally within the Lloyd’s Market or London Market.
- Portfolio-level judgement—ability to operate at governance and senior strategy level, applying critical, constructive challenge.
- Technical communication—proficiency in translating complex modelling outputs into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Market & regulatory knowledge—familiarity with underwriting discipline, reinsurance structures, and Lloyd’s exposure frameworks.
- Stakeholder & organisational management—higuely organised, analytical, and comfortable engaging with senior leadership across underwriting, actuarial, and risk functions.
