Ecologist
Ecologist : Shaftesbury
A well-established ecological consultancy is seeking a driven Ecologist to join their friendly, supportive team based near Shaftesbury, Dorset. This is an exciting career development opportunity to contribute to conservation-led work in meaningful ways.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects across southern England, from small-scale developments to large infrastructure schemes. The role includes:
- Conducting ecological surveys
- Writing technical reports
- Assessing habitat priorities
- Supporting clients through planning and licensing processes

Requirements
- Degree in Ecology or a related environmental discipline
- At least two seasons’ experience in ecological consultancy
- Proficiency in conducting protected species surveys
- Strong report writing and technical communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work
- Desirable (but not essential): Holds a protected species licence (e.g., bat licence, GCN licence)
