An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ecologist to join a well-established, employee-owned environmental consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering ecological and environmental services across the UK. Based near Ipswich, this consultancy offers a supportive culture, varied project work, and genuine opportunities for professional development.

The successful Ecologist will work on a diverse portfolio of projects, undertaking habitat and protected species surveys, producing technical reports, supporting mitigation strategies, and contributing to project delivery from planning through to completion. This Ecologist role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on projects across a range of sectors while continuing to develop your technical skills.

Requirements

  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience undertaking ecological surveys and report writing
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Living in or near the Ipswich office
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive approach and ability to work independently and within a team
  • Willingness to travel for site work, including occasional overnight stays
