A fantastic opportunity is available for an Ecologist to join a highly regarded environmental consultancy that delivers ecological advice to clients across a wide variety of development and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. With a collaborative working environment and a strong commitment to employee development, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career within a respected consultancy.

As an Ecologist, you'll be involved in all stages of ecological project delivery, from undertaking protected species and habitat surveys through to preparing technical reports, advising clients and supporting planning and mitigation strategies. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll gain exposure to an interesting mix of projects while continuing to expand your ecological knowledge and practical experience.

Requirements

  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or a related subject
  • Previous experience carrying out ecological surveys and preparing technical reports
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Based in or within a reasonable commuting distance of the Colchester office
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workloads independently and work effectively within a team
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays
