Consultant Ecologist

GBP30,000 : GBP40,000

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Ecologist to join a highly regarded independent ecological consultancy through a specialist recruitment partner. With over 20 years of experience, the company provides ecological advice and environmental solutions across a diverse range of projects, from small:scale developments to major infrastructure and masterplanning schemes. The business is known for its technical excellence, supportive culture and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes for clients.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you will undertake habitat and protected species surveys, prepare technical reports, support Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain projects, liaise with clients and contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the South East. The successful Consultant Ecologist will be based near Guildford and work within an experienced and collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Consultant Ecologist or in a similar ecology role
  • Knowledge of UK protected species, habitats and ecological legislation
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Living in or within a commutable distance of the Guildford office
  • CIEEM membership or working towards membership is desirable
