Location: Basingstoke / Hybrid Salary: £42,000–£47,000 DOE
About the Company
My client is a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of leading brands across beauty, personal care, and lifestyle categories. These brands are sold through major retailers and ecommerce platforms across EMEA.
Ecommerce is a key strategic growth channel, with increasing investments in:
- Digital shelf performance
- Retailer execution
- Content quality
- Campaign delivery
- Commercial growth across priority markets
The business is building a lean, high-performing ecommerce team, focused on speed, accountability, and measurable results. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring ecommerce priorities are executed consistently, accurately, and at pace across the region.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce EMEA, the Ecommerce Execution Manager acts as the operational engine behind ecommerce delivery across priority brands, SKUs, retailers, and markets.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role responsible for turning ecommerce strategy into action. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordination between market teams, internal stakeholders, agencies, and retailer requirements to ensure outcomes meet high standards.
- Thriving in a fast-paced environment by taking ownership of execution, proactively removing blockers, and continuously improving workflows for maximised commercial impact across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
Execution & Delivery Management
- Translate ecommerce priorities into clear execution plans for priority retailers, SKUs, and markets.
- Coordinate updates to product content, enhanced content, product launches, promotional activity, and campaign changes.
- Ensure actions are delivered on time, to quality standards, and aligned with brand, retailer, and market requirements.
- Maintain clear visibility of:
- Delivery status
- Risks
- Owners
- Next steps for all key initiatives
Ecommerce Content Governance
- Ensure product content is accurate, complete, consistent, and optimized for priority retailer websites.
- Coordinate copy, imagery, videos, and enhanced content with teams, agencies, and local markets.
- Track content gaps, compliance issues, and retailer requirements; ensure follow-through to completion.
- Maintain high-quality product detail pages by focusing on accuracy, consistency, and conversion.

Retailer Platform Management
- Coordinate ecommerce execution across priority retailer platforms and digital commerce channels.
- Validate successful implementation of:
- Listings
- Attributes
- Pricing
- Imagery
- Content
- Campaign assets
- Support digital merchandising to enhance product visibility, discoverability, and online customer experience.
- Monitor retailer platform execution issues; collaborate with teams and partners to resolve them swiftly.
Cross-Market Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Local ecommerce teams
- Sales
- Marketing
- Brand
- Supply
- External agencies
- Align stakeholders on:
- Priorities
- Timelines
- Owners
- Deliverables
- Execution standards
- Build strong working relationships across multiple international markets while sustaining pace-friendly execution.
Campaign & Launch Readiness
- Coordinate ecommerce readiness for:
- Product launches
- Seasonal campaigns
- Trading moments
- Ensure:
- Content
- Assets
- Messaging
- Retailer requirements are in place prior to launch
- Support commercial growth with clear, tracked, and delivered execution plans.
- Conduct pre-launch checks to identify and remediate gaps before activities go live.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track execution progress against KPIs, timelines, and service levels.
- Provide weekly updates detailing status, risks, actions, blockers, and progress.
- Analyze digital shelf and execution data to prioritise initiatives and improve efficiency.
- Drive focus toward high-impact deliverables rather than spreading effort thin.
Continuous Improvement
- Review workflows to increase speed and efficiency.
- Standardise ecommerce processes across EMEA.
- Introduce best-practice documentation and execution frameworks.
- Collaboratively drive team and agency improvement.
Agency & Stakeholder Management
- Manage agency tasks, timelines, feedback loops, and outcomes.
- Hold stakeholders accountable constructively to enhance collaboration and problem-solving.
- Escalate risks early while maintaining momentum and ownership.

Blocker Removal & Issue Resolution
- Identify risks such as:
- Missing assets
- Market delays
- System issues
- Bottlenecks
- Resolve or promptly escalate issues.
- Guarantee no delay of critical activities due to dependencies.
Hands-On Support
- Deliver direct support for content updates, checks, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate urgent retailer requests alongside owner engagement.
- Support campaign implementation, content gap closure, and retailer launch readiness.
- Willingness to engage deeply rather than remain remote and indirect.
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in:
- Ecommerce
- Digital commerce operations
- Marketplace execution
- Retail content
- OR a comparable hands-on digital role
- Experience is especially advantageous in:
- FMCG
- Consumer goods
- Beauty
- Personal care
- Retail
- High execution mindset with:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Bias for action
- Highly organised, structured, and adept at managing multiple tasks, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Confident in coordinating across markets, agencies, and teams while driving momentum.
- Proactive, persistent, and comfortable constructively challenging to move things forward.
- Resilient and action-driven in pressurised settings.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, accountable setting.
