Role Profile

  • Reports to: Head of Ecommerce
  • Location: Glasgow (office-based)
  • Salary: Dependent on experience
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week (8:30 am – 5:30 pm)

Role Overview

As Ecommerce Executive, you’ll play a key role in driving our global ecommerce channels, supporting the creation, publishing, merchandising, and optimisation of digital content across all online platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in SEO, PPC, and product merchandising while contributing to the growth of a well-established, high-profile brand. Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Content Creation & Optimisation
    • Create, optimise, and maintain product descriptions, category pages, and onsite content for accurate, engaging, and SEO-driven performance.
    • Implement keyword research and apply SEO best practices across all digital assets.

  • Content & Campaign Support

    • Assist in content marketing initiatives, including campaign landing pages, buying guides, and seasonal content.
    • Ensure new product launches include high-quality, search-optimised copy in collaboration with buying and marketing teams.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting

    • Monitor organic search performance (rankings, traffic, conversions) and identify optimisation opportunities.
    • Use Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO platforms to track performance and provide actionable insights.
  • Technical & Competitor Audits

    • Conduct regular site audits to address content gaps, broken links, metadata issues, and technical SEO problems.
    • Continuously review competitor activity and industry trends to enhance visibility, content quality, and customer experience.
  • Cross-Function Collaboration

    • Align with PPC and digital marketing teams to ensure landing pages and product content support campaign goals.
    • Work closely with buying, photography, and content teams for seamless product launches.

Requirements & Skills

Essential Qualities

  • Passion for ecommerce and an understanding of how high-quality product information enhances customer experience and search visibility.
  • Strong interest in SEO and digital marketing, with a drive to optimise content for better organic performance.
  • Ability to write clear, engaging, and persuasive product copy tailored for conversions and search engines.
  • Experience with modern ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and digital CMS tools.

Desired Attributes

  • Keen interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI, and a willingness to use data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to maintain high-quality, accurate content.
  • Proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to collaborate across marketing, buying, and ecommerce teams.
  • Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog) and Google Analytics.
  • An appetite for ongoing learning in a fast-evolving digital landscape.
