Ecommerce Mail Order Manager
Established in 1965, Ski Bartlett is one of the UK's most popular independent ski shops, with over 50 years of experience. We pride ourselves on our high standards, excellent customer service, and the quality of our products. Over the years, we have expanded our retail space to house a vast selection of ski and snowboard products, and our online presence is going from strength to strength.
We are looking for a full-time, long-term team member to manage our ever-growing e-commerce mail order department. It’s fast-paced and at times very busy, but if you are good at following systems and keep calm under pressure, you will relish in this role.
Key Daily Responsibilities
- Printing, picking, and packing customer orders.
- Coordinate with the shop manager to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Undertake fraud checks on all order transactions.
- Responding to customer enquiries through multiple channels.
- Ensuring adequate levels of packaging supplies are maintained.

Other Responsibilities
- Reviewing shipping providers and renegotiating contracts.
- Maintaining good relations with account managers.
- Reviewing packaging suppliers and costs.
- Innovate and streamline processes and systems.
Qualified applicants must enjoy learning, being stretched to grow, and will ultimately be an integral part of all our sales and marketing operations.
Essential
Skills/experience required for the role:
- Be extraordinarily organised - constantly maintaining and improving organisational systems, files, and records.
- Systematically follow processes.
- Conscientiously follow up and complete tasks.
- Be really concerned with attention to detail.
- Champion at meeting deadlines.
- Have excellent communication skills - You must be able to respond professionally and friendly to customers - in person, on the phone, and on email.
- Good at working independently.
- Be highly efficient, highly motivated, self-directed, and resourceful.
- You must have loads of common sense and initiative to proactively solve problems.
