ABOUT CLEENS
Cleens is a fast growing footwear and fashion, direct-to-consumer first business. Our website is a core pillar of the business and continued investment in the online experience, trading and conversion is central to the company's growth plans alongside its wholesale and retail presence.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a commercially minded E-Commerce Manager to own and grow Cleens' online sales channels. You will be responsible for the day-to-day trading of the website and marketplace presence, driving traffic, conversion and customer retention.
You will work closely with marketing, operations and product teams to deliver an outstanding online shopping experience and sustainable revenue growth, reporting directly on performance to senior leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the day-to-day trading of the Cleens website, managing merchandising, promotions, pricing and stock accuracy.
- Monitor and report on daily, weekly and monthly sales performance, identifying opportunities and risks.
- Manage the site roadmap, working with developers and agencies to prioritise fixes, features and platform improvements.
- Ensure product listings are accurate, optimised and up to date across the website and third-party marketplaces where appropriate.
- Develop and run a structured CRO testing programme (A/B and multivariate testing) to improve conversion, average order value and basket size.
- Analyse user journeys and checkout funnels to identify and remove friction points.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on SEO, paid media, email/CRM and social campaigns to drive qualified traffic.
- Plan and execute the e-commerce promotional calendar, aligning with wider marketing and seasonal campaigns.
- Build and maintain regular performance dashboards (traffic, conversion, revenue, retention, customer acquisition cost).
- Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment, returns and customer support.
- Manage and develop any direct reports or agency/freelance partners supporting the e-commerce function.
- Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
