About Tonic
At Tonic, we're revolutionising health and wellness with our range of high-dose, no-added sugar, vitamins and supplement designed to support the whole family. We're a rapidly growing remote wellness brand – ranked 3rd on Alantra's 2025 Food & Beverage Fast 50 (198% growth) and 12th on the FEBE Growth 100. Orders have nearly doubled year-on-year and site traffic is up over 30% in the last quarter alone. We're building the ecommerce backbone to match that growth, and this hire is central to it.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an Ecommerce Manager to join our growing ecom team, working closely with our Head of Ecommerce, CRM & Lifecycle Manager, and Growth (paid marketing) team. This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who wants to own the day-to-day of our Shopify Plus store and get stuck into everything from merchandising, admin to CRO to SEO – not sit inside a big, siloed function.
You'll thrive here if you're a driven, accountable go-getter who takes ownership without needing to be asked twice. This isn't a role for someone looking to blend into a large corporate structure, we need someone dependable who can jump in and start making an impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Shopify Ownership: Manage the day-to-day back-end of our Shopify Plus store – theme updates, app maintenance, troubleshooting, and general platform health.
- Merchandising: Own product setup, collections, pricing and promotional merchandising across the site, ensuring everything is accurate, on-brand and optimised for conversion.
- Product Development: Support new product launches end-to-end; from setup and page build to QA and go-live.
- CRO: Implement a conversion rate optimisation roadmap – testing site experience, landing pages, and checkout to convert more of the traffic Growth is driving.
- SEO: Build and execute an SEO roadmap covering technical, on-page and content opportunities to grow organic traffic and revenue.
- App & Tech Stack Maintenance: Manage our app ecosystem, troubleshooting integration issues and evaluating new tools as we scale.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Ecom and Growth teams to align site experience with acquisition and retention priorities.
- Agency Coordination: Support as the day-to-day point of contact for external agencies and freelancers (e.g. development, design, SEO), briefing work, managing timelines and ensuring output meets our standards.
- Reporting & Insight: Monitor site and commercial performance, flagging issues and opportunities early.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills & Experience
While these are highly regarded, we appreciate the value of diverse experience – you don't need all of them:
- Several years hands-on Shopify experience is a must.
- Ideally, experience at a subscription-first or wellness/health growth brand.
- Technically-minded, with a big-picture, strategic mindset – you should be equally comfortable in the weeds of a broken app integration and zoomed-out roadmap thinking.
- Comfortable owning CRO and SEO workstreams without a large team around you.
- A genuine go-getter: accountable, dependable, and happy taking ownership without hand-holding.
- Strong communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally in a remote team.
