Global Payments: eCommerce Migrations Director

Global Payments is transitioning and expanding its eCommerce and digital payments capabilities across the UK & ROI. As eCommerce Migrations Director, you will lead the teams, ways of working, and delivery frameworks responsible for migrating existing customers onto Worldpay eCommerce and associated card-not-present (CNP) solutions.

This is a people-led leadership role with broad influence across sales channels, growth teams, professional services, and technology. You will shape how customer migrations are planned, executed, and scaled—ensuring platform transitions deliver successful activation, strong customer outcomes, and sustainable commercial value.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the eCommerce Migrations function across UK & ROI.
  • Build, develop, and coach teams responsible for migration delivery, activation support, and migration-related sales support.
  • Define and implement migration strategies that balance customer experience, delivery capacity, and business priorities.
  • Ensure migrations result in real adoption and usage of Worldpay eCommerce and CNP capabilities, not just technical completion.
  • Work closely with Sales, Growth, Professional Services, Product, and Technology teams to ensure clear ownership and smooth handover throughout the migration journey.
  • Establish clear migration operating rhythms, governance, and escalation points.
  • Use performance data and insight to identify risks, remove friction, and continuously improve migration outcomes.
  • Act as a senior point of escalation for complex or high-risk customer migrations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
