Ecommerce Operations Manager (Ecommerce/ General Manager Focus)

Chorley, Lancashire | Office based | £45,000 to £70,000 per year (dependent on experience) | Full time

About the Opportunity:

This is not a typical operations role. It is a unique opportunity suited to a specific type of person with a broad skill set and hands on ecommerce experience within a DTC brand.

Zachary Daniels are exclusively working with a growing gym wear brand founded in 2013. The business is profitable with zero debt and low overheads and is now positioned for its next phase of growth. The founder is stepping back from day to day operations, creating an opportunity for someone to take real ownership.

The Role:

While the title is Business Operations Manager, the role is closer to an Ecommerce Manager and General Manager combined. You will work closely with the founder and play a key role in running and scaling the business.

The focus is primarily ecommerce trading and growth, with a smaller portion covering operations and admin.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
