About the Role
We are looking for an eCommerce Product Trading Manager to join our International eCommerce team, based from NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicester, with a competitive salary range and exciting benefits.
The eCommerce Product Trading Manager will be responsible for profitably growing sales across divisions and improving the customer product onsite experience internationally. This role requires accountability for key functions such as sizing optimisation, return data analysis, and product exclusions at the country level. Collaboration with product and eCommerce teams to identify and communicate opportunities will also be essential.
Responsibilities
Strategy, Trading & Insights
Data-Driven Strategic Growth
- Analyse large datasets (using Google Analytics and under/over index reporting) to identify:
- Market trends
- Category opportunities
- Onsite optimisations that enhance customer experience and ROI
- Develop and own the divisional product trading growth strategy (e.g., Menswear, Footwear), driving actionable plans across regional teams rather than focusing solely on regional updates.
- Serve as the senior contact point for:
- Product teams
- Branded trading teams
- Third-party trading teams
- Delivering performance updates and operational insights to senior management
Sizing & Data Mapping
Sizing Optimisation
- Benchmark gender and category sizing against competitors to analyse international market requirements.
- Collaborate with tech and site operations to:
- Manage sizing data
- Optimise conversion guides
- Track self-serve tool mapping rules
- Measure impact on onsite metrics and return rates

Brand & Product Launches
End-to-End Launch Management
- Oversee onboarding and execution of:
- New product releases
- Brand launches
- Celebrity collaborations
- Ensure successful performance tracking through:
- Planned vs. live inventory comparisons
- Close partnership with UK production and branded teams to:
- Monitor line availability by country
- Resolve item count discrepancies
- Manage regional exclusions
Onsite Experience & Localisation
Content & Tone of Voice (TOV) Optimisation
- Work with translation and search teams to optimise:
- Localised content coverage
- Regional Tone of Voice (TOV)
- Product Display Pages (PDP) requirements for LLM enrichment
- Conduct audits of product attributes to fix misclassified lines and leverage local insights to:
- Run page tests for conversion optimisation
- Increase Average Order Value (AOV)
- Roll out international review strategies
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should bring the following:
🔹 Clear passion for product innovation and growth 🔹 Proven experience in eCommerce from a relevant role or industry 🔹 Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams 🔹 Proficiency in using web metrics and data tools to derive actionable trading insights 🔹 Deep understanding of customer behaviour and strategies for targeting specific audiences 🔹 A culture of testing and continuous improvement with regular input of new ideas 🔹 Extensive knowledge of the eCommerce landscape, including customer trends across different countries
