The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Ecommerce Trading Manager to lead our Healthcare categories online. Reporting to the Senior Ecommerce Trading Manager, you'll own category performance, develop online trading strategies and identify opportunities to grow sales, improve conversion and enhance the customer journey across Superdrug.com.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys combining commercial thinking, data analysis and digital execution to deliver results.

What You'll Be Doing

Driving Category Growth

  • Own the commercial performance of key healthcare categories online.
  • Analyse trading performance and identify opportunities to increase sales, conversion and profitability.
  • Develop and deliver category trading plans aligned to business objectives.
  • Use customer insights, market data and competitor activity to shape future strategy.

Delivering Outstanding Customer Experiences

  • Optimise product journeys and site merchandising to improve customer engagement and conversion.
  • Ensure customers can easily discover, navigate and purchase products online.
  • Identify opportunities to increase basket spend through promotional activity, cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
  • Work closely with UX and Digital teams to continually improve the online customer experience.

Leading Commercial Planning

  • Manage category trading calendars and coordinate key promotional activity.
  • Build compelling online campaigns that support both customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with Buying and Supply Chain teams to identify new opportunities, seasonal trends and high-demand products.
  • Support annual planning and budgeting activities for your categories.

Using Data to Make Better Decisions

  • Monitor sales, conversion, stock performance and customer behaviour.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and industry developments.
  • Translate insights into clear actions that improve performance and deliver growth.

Working Cross-Functionally

  • Partner with Buying, Supply Chain, Digital, UX and Content teams to deliver seamless ecommerce experiences.
  • Ensure product content is accurate, engaging and optimised across all platforms.
  • Contribute to the ecommerce development roadmap and future category innovations.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in people who can demonstrate:

  • Previous ecommerce trading, digital merchandising or online category management experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities.
  • Experience working within retail, ecommerce or a fast-paced consumer environment.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for creating exceptional online experiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence using analytics and performance data to inform decisions.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to challenge, influence and drive change.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Experience within health, beauty, FMCG or retail categories.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce platforms, digital merchandising and promotional planning.
  • Experience working with UX, content or digital development teams.
