- Soapworks, Salford – Developing a social value action plan for a mixed-used neighbourhood in Greater Manchester
- Kirklees Cultural Heart – Writing the socio-economic ES chapter and conducting a health impact assessment for the (re)generation of Huddersfield town centre
- Wisbech Gateway – Undertaking an economic benefits analysis for a commercial/industrial gateway development in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
What Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a talented individual who can:

Manage a range of complex projects, including providing economic input on:
- Planning statements
- Local plan representations
- Economic benefit reports
- Health impact assessments
- Equality impact assessments
- Socio-economic chapters
- Social impact analysis

Lead the delivery of these projects and presentanalysis to colleagues, clients, as well as at conferences and seminars, when applicable.
Your work will span multiple sectors, including:
- Residential and regeneration schemes
- Town expansion
- Retail
- Commercial and leisure-related projects
Ideal Candidate Profile

|---|---|
| Economics Associate | - 7+ years’ experience |
| Economics Director | - 10+ years’ experience |
| - Degree in economics, human geography, or a related subject | |
| - Strong understanding of the planning system and how economic development integrates into it | |
| - In-depth knowledge of socio-economic data from official and unofficial sources (e.g., ONS, NOMIS, gov.uk) | |
| - Proven experience leading economic impact assessments, including: | |
| - Calculating job creation | |
| - Economic output contributions | |
| - Writing socio-economic Environmental Statement (ES) chapters for various schemes, including those requiring environmental impact assessments |
