Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Economist role based in Belfast. The Economist will conduct economic research, develop and maintain quantitative models, and analyze macroeconomic models. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Gathering and cleaning data
- Performing statistical and econometric analyses
- Preparing reports, briefings, and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to interpret findings, support policy and investment recommendations, and contribute to forecasting and scenario analysis. The Economist will also:
- Monitor relevant economic indicators
- Stay current with academic and industry developments
- Help enhance the firm’s analytical methodologies and tools
Qualifications, Credentials and Experience
- Strong foundation in Economics and Data Science, with the ability to apply theory to real-world problems.
- Proficiency in Research methods, including data collection, literature review, and empirical analysis.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with experience interpreting complex datasets and drawing actionable conclusions.
- Solid understanding of Statistics, including statistical inference and econometric techniques.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with statistical or econometric software (e.g., R, Python, or similar tools) is highly beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialist audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in economic consulting, policy analysis, financial services, or related fields is an advantage.
