Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Primary Schools

September 2026 Start | Long-Term & Supply Opportunities

Location: Staffordshire & Cheshire East (including Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, Crewe and Nantwich)

Salary: £130–£160 per day (PAYE)

Vision for Education is working with a number of welcoming primary schools across Staffordshire and Cheshire East that are planning their September 2026 staffing now. We are recruiting enthusiastic ECTs for a range of long-term and day-to-day teaching opportunities.

Many of our partner schools have an excellent track record of supporting early career teachers with structured mentoring, protected PPA time and high-quality induction experiences.

The Role

We have opportunities including:

  • Full academic year placements
  • Long-term and fixed-term contracts
  • EYFS, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and mixed-age classes
  • Day-to-day supply to build experience and maintain regular work while waiting for long-term placements

Whether you're looking to complete your induction or gain experience across a variety of schools, we can help you find the right fit.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • ECTs, recently qualified teachers and those completing their induction are encouraged to apply
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional references covering your teacher training placements and/or recent employment
  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children's learning
