Editor – Pan Non-Fiction Team (Full-time, Permanent)

About the Role

Do you have a passion for entertainment, sports and pop culture? Join our dynamic Pan Non-Fiction team! As an Editor, you will play a central role in bringing impactful books to life, working closely with authors, agents and internal teams to guide non-fiction titles—themes ranging from celebrity memoirs and sports icons to breakout trends in digital media, podcasts and beyond.

You will join a collaborative team focused on commercial non-fiction that drives cultural conversations. We champion our authors (including industry-famous names like Adrian Edmondson, Lisa Marie Presley, Louis Theroux and Cynthia Erivo) and work closely across Sales, Art, Production, and Communications to ensure every book is published to the highest standard.

Your role involves end-to-end title management, from idea to launch. As Editor, you'll:

  • Lead both high-profile commercial titles and develop your own entertainment intellectual property (IP).
  • Act as a trusted coordinator for projects, ensuring alignment and commercial success.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end title management: Guide curves through conception, editing, and launch, maintaining alignment between internal teams and external partners (authors, agents).
  • Structural & detailed editing: Oversee structural edits, line edits, and proofreading, including crafting compelling cover copy and title information sheets.
  • IP & idea generation: Proactively generate and pitch new commercial concepts and intellectual property with the goal of signing original titles.
  • Meeting contribution: Actively participate in commercial & editorial discussions, presenting titles internally to Sales, Rights, and Communications teams.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with Art, Production & Design teams to brief jackets, clear rights/permissions, and manage logistical timelines.
  • Industry networking: Build strong relationships with literary agents, talent managers and creators across entertainment, sports and digital media to identify fresh voices.
  • Database & record management: Maintain up-to-date records (including Biblio) to support smooth operations for titles and authors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
