Job Title: Editor-in-Chief (Remote) — Journova Publishing Limited

Location: Remote

About the Role

Journova Publishing is seeking experienced academics, researchers, or industry experts to serve as Editor-in-Chief (EIC) across our journal portfolio, including:

  • International Journal of Medical, Healthcare and Life Sciences (IJMHLS) https://journovapublishing.com/journals/ijmhls/

  • International Journal of Engineering Innovation and Computational Science (IJEICS) https://journovapublishing.com/journals/ijeics/

This is a remote position, open to applicants worldwide, with the flexibility to manage editorial responsibilities alongside existing academic or professional commitments. Candidates may apply for one or more journals aligned with their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the journal's editorial vision, scope, and strategic direction
  • Oversee the end-to-end peer-review process, ensuring rigor, fairness, and timeliness
  • Uphold publication ethics and standards (e.g., COPE guidelines)
  • Recruit, mentor, and coordinate the editorial board and reviewer pool
  • Make final decisions on manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection
  • Champion the journal's visibility, reputation, and indexing efforts
  • Represent the journal within the relevant academic and professional community

Candidate Requirements

  • PhD/MD (or equivalent terminal degree) in a field relevant to the journal's scope
  • Strong record of research, publications, and academic standing
  • Prior experience in editorial roles, peer review, or academic leadership
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with open-access publishing models and editorial software/workflows
  • Ability to commit sufficient time on a remote, flexible basis
