About the role

We are looking for an Editor, Early Modern Letters Online (EMLO) to join our team. EMLO is an Oxford-hosted catalogue of early modern correspondence, now managed within the Bodleian Libraries. You will work with the editorial team to add and improve metadata for letters in the Bodleian’s manuscript collections, identify items of research interest, and support the ongoing development of the database. You will also liaise with the Curator of Early Modern Manuscripts, colleagues in BDLSS and EMLO, and contribute to publications, digital outputs, and wider collaborative initiatives.

  • This is a full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week.
  • This role is primarily library-based, but working from home one or two days per week may be possible by agreement.
  • Due to the nature of this post, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a satisfactory Basic DBS check due to working unsupervised with the library’s manuscript collections.

About You

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
