EDM Technician
EDM Technician (RoboCut) – Specialised Engineering & Manufacturing
The client is a rapidly evolving dynamic design and manufacturing business specialising in prototyping, rapid tooling, and high/low quantity production. They serve some of the biggest consumer brands in the world, supplying specialist food processing equipment as well as high-end scientific components. A forward-thinking progressive company, they operate from a modern office and factory environment, requiring an ambitious EDM Technician to operate and programme their RoboCut EDM machines.
About the Role
- Oversee programming and operation of RoboCut EDM machines for producing complex, high-precision components
- Manufacture parts for specialist equipment and high-end scientific customers
- Support a transition towards design-led manufacturing, delivering high-quality prototypes, tools, and production runs

Key Skills & Experience Required
- Offline programming from models and drawings (must detect intricate features)
- Highly precise and fast-paced worker with a proven track record for tolerance-conscious machining
- Experience working with various metals, low-run and high-volume production
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring clean, high-quality, error-free output
- Maintains a tidy, well-organised workspace in line with industry standards

Hours of Work
- Full-time contract: 37 hours per week
-Standard office/operating hours:
- Monday to Friday:
- 08:00 to 16:30 (with a 30-minute lunch break)
- Monday to Friday:
- 5 weeks’ paid holiday guarantee
- Overtime available for eligible candidates
Remuneration & Benefits
- Base salary between £35k and £48k (negotiable depending on skills/experience)
