Education Officer
Job Title: Education Officer

Team: Judges and Judging (Breed shows)
Reports to: Judges and Judging (Breed Shows) Manager

This role is responsible for working with the Judges and Judging (Breed Shows) team to oversee the Judges Education Programme (JEP) curriculum content for judges in training; and Royal Kennel Club (RKC) Accredited Trainers for breed shows who help to deliver training to judges.

Help the Royal Kennel Club deliver excellent customer service to dog show judges in training by overseeing and supporting the creation, maintenance and delivery of relevant, up to date, consistent and quality assured learning and education materials and aids through online and in-person curriculum content for the JEP. You will also provide assistance and support to RKC Accredited Trainers in their delivery of course and seminar content within the JEP by working closely with the Accredited Trainers Officer within the Judges & Judges (Breed Shows) team.

Learning & Education
- Oversee the creation and delivery of learning and educational materials for the JEP.
- Ensure learning and educational materials remain relevant, up to date, and deliver the required outcomes of the JEP.
- Assist with the development and delivery of ongoing training and support for Breed Education Coordinators (BECs) and mentors.
Stakeholder Engagement & Quality Assurance
- Liaise with Breed Education Coordinators (BECs), breed clubs, and councils to ensure Breed Appreciation Day (BAD) training is delivered to the required quality and content standards and meets expectations under the JEP.
- Liaise with Breed Education Coordinators (BECs), breed clubs, and councils to ensure Multiple-choice Exams (MCEs) are drafted consistently and delivered to the required content standards and expectations under the JEP.
Support & Communication
- Support the JEP by handling queries from judges in training, BECs, breed clubs and councils, mentors, accredited trainers, and assessors.
Digital Content Management
- Create, update, and maintain JEP-related content on the RKC website.
Reporting & Administration

- Prepare reports as directed by the Judges & Judging (Breed Shows) Manager and the Judges Committee.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Judges & Judging (Breed Shows) Manager
