Education Solicitor (Partner), 8+ Years PQE, Cheltenham, GBP Highly competitive (DOE)
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who is passionate about the education sector and keen to play a leading role in the continued development of a well-established national practice. REF:4526.
The Role
As a Partner, you will lead on a wide variety of strategic and corporate matters for education clients, with a particular focus on independent schools and education groups.
- Provide commercially focused advice while building long-term relationships with clients and helping to shape the future direction of the practice.
- Advise on acquisitions, disposals and mergers involving independent schools and education businesses.
- Lead on reorganisations, collaborations, and strategic projects designed to strengthen and future-proof educational institutions.
- Advise charities and education organisations on corporate restructuring and transformation.
- Work closely with colleagues across employment, property, regulatory, and dispute resolution teams to deliver a seamless service.
- Develop and strengthen client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser to senior decision-makers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, while enhancing the firm's profile within the education sector.
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, supporting their technical and professional development.

Skills Required
- Applications are sought from Education Solicitors with a minimum of 8 Years PQE.
- Experience operating at Partner or Legal Director level, or a strong track record demonstrating readiness for Partnership.
- An interest in, or experience advising, education, charity, or not-for-profit organisations.
- Proven experience leading complex transactions and managing sophisticated client relationships.
- A strong business development mindset with the confidence to build networks and generate new opportunities.
- Excellent technical and drafting skills, combined with practical, solution-focused advice.
- The ability to inspire, mentor, and develop colleagues while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture.
