About the Role
This permanent, full-time Education & Sports Coordinator role is central to delivering Personal Best’s education and sports programmes to schools and the community. It is a diverse and exciting position requiring leadership, safeguarding expertise, and a strong focus on inclusion and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery Leadership
- Lead the delivery of high-quality provisions, including:
- Wrap-around care
- PPA (Planning, Preparation & Assessment)
- PE curricula
- CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
- Ensure sessions are consistent, engaging, and compliant with organisational standards.
Holiday Camp Coordination
- Oversee holiday camp delivery, including:
- Programme design and resourcing.
- Safety, engagement, and participant experience.
- Managing staffing, logistics, and operational standards to ensure exceptional outcomes.
Safeguarding Leadership
- Act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) for designated schools and holiday camps, supporting the organisation’s safeguarding culture.

Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with schools and community partners.
- Provide primary liaison for:
- Assisting schools with programme bookings.
- Selecting and discussing sport specialisms.
- Facilitating timetabling coordination.
Inclusion & Equity
- Champion inclusive practices, ensuring activities are accessible and engaging for all participants, regardless of ability or background.
Staff Coordination
- Support coaching staff schedules and deployment, ensuring:
- Compliance with organisational policies.
- Alignment with Personal Best’s values.
- Maintenance of professional standards and qualifications.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular site visits and coaching observations to:
- Monitor quality and consistency of delivery.
- Support ongoing staff professional development.
Resource Management
- Maintain and oversee operational equipment, ensuring:
- Good condition and usability.
- Equipment supports all educational and sports programming.

Essential Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification in Sports Coaching, Education, or a related field.
- Multi-Skills Level 2.
- Level 2 Coaching Qualification (any sport).
- Valid UK driving licence and use of company vehicles.
Experience
- Prior experience coordinating or coaching at a comparable level.
- Demonstrable experience working in sports, leisure, or educational settings.

- Strong IT proficiency in basic systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification
- An Enhanced DBS check will be required as part of this role.
Desirable Qualifications
- First Aid Qualification.
- PESS Level 3 or 5 qualification.

Working Arrangements
- Hours: 37.5 hrs/week (Monday to Friday, with potential for split shifts).
- Availability: Weekend work as required.
- Location: In-person only in Salisbury or ability to commute/re-locate.
Salary: £26,000.00 per year
