The Role

As the Educational Leader, you will lead the educational team to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and care. Your role will include:

  • Promoting effective relationships within the team and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Supporting the Director with administrative tasks.
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating staff to continually improve and develop.
  • Managing day-to-day operations of the Early Learning Centre, including staff management and leadership.

The Centre

At The Y Holt Early Learning Centre, we recognise childhood as a unique and precious stage of life. Our aim is to support each child’s development in a holistic and unhurried manner, allowing them to flourish at their own pace. Our open plan outdoor spaces are designed to connect children with the natural world, offering opportunities for mud and water play, tree climbing, and regular nature walks.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Recognised Diploma in Children’s Services or Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Proven experience in leading, inspiring, and motivating a team.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and the community.
  • Expertise in creating a collaborative learning environment, informed by theoretical and philosophical knowledge.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring staff within an Early Learning Centre.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Framework, and the Education and Care National Regulations and Act.
  • Demonstrated experience in pedagogical leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and achieve the best outcomes from a diverse team.
  • Current WWVP Check and First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates.
