About Us

As an Educational Psychologist or Senior Educational Psychologists for Leicester City Council, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary, diverse team that is friendly, supportive, and well-regarded, working in a unique and vibrant multi-cultural city.

We have EPs working in a range of areas including with the virtual school, international new arrivals, anti-bullying (Positive Peaceful Places) and with our designated specialist provisions in mainstream settings.

What You’ll Be Involved With

We are involved in exciting new areas of work, including working with our local MHST team on an NHS funded project, to strengthen the mental health support in our city schools. We have an integral role in the LA EBSA strategy and are working closely with our Children’s Hospital School.

As one of the Change Programme Partners, we are exploring different ways of working through the EHC assessment process, including collaboration with our specialist teachers, and this is supporting us to be up to date with our EHCA workload.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Development

All of our EPs have protected time for development work which involves training, consultation and local area strategy work with a range of partners, alongside an expanding ELSA training and supervision offer, and we encourage all staff to develop areas of professional interest.

We work with all of our City schools through a link EP arrangement, giving us the opportunity to develop our creative delivery of psychology and promote new ways of working. EPs and TEPs have the opportunity to work together on activities such as PATH and Circle of Adults, and we are progressing our work on culturally responsive and anti-racist practice.

We are developing and focusing our training offer, to be more responsive to the changes and challenges that schools are experiencing, and provide workshops for parents and staff on topics including EBSA, neuro-affirming practice, precision teaching and staff wellbeing.
