About the Role

Lancashire Educational Psychology Service (EPS) welcomes applications from those who are inspired and able to engage others in achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people. We comprise three dynamic, friendly, and supportive teams of educational psychologists, committed to optimising outcomes for children and young people and providing support and help to those who need it.

We have a wide range of research interests, the creative use of which is encouraged to support projects that reflect current priorities for the authority and ongoing service development, including developing our offer to schools and early years settings, as well as a focus on communication and technology, and social, emotional, and mental health. We successfully host the North-West CPD Conference for Educational Psychologists.

Key Responsibilities

  • To apply psychological theory, research, and evidence-based practice to support children and young people (0–25) to achieve positive outcomes in education, wellbeing, and development.
  • The post holder will work collaboratively with education settings, families, and multi-agency partners to identify and remove barriers to learning and promote inclusive practice across Lancashire.
  • We have a new, exciting, and evolving Service offer for 25/26 which has a community psychology lens and a focus on group consultation-led reflection to support systemic change.
  • The EPS is developing packages of support, and we plan to work with services within the community to support children and young people.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
