Our London office is a key international hub, working closely with teams across Australia, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The business plays an important role in supporting cross-border funding, investor access, and international capital markets activity for clients in the **UK**, **Europe**, **Australia**, and **New Zealand**.

# **About the Role**
Reporting to the **Head of Support, Europe & Americas**, this position is responsible for:

- Providing **first and second line FX pre-trade application support**
- Assisting in delivering **project and business-as-usual (BAU) related activities** for Westpac’s **electronic pre-trade systems globally**

The primary objective of this role is to:

- Maintain **production stability**
- Facilitate the delivery of new functionality to **Westpac business users and customers** that will:
  - Grow **revenue**
  - Improve the **customer experience**
  - Reduce **expenses** for the **Global Financial Markets product line**

The successful candidate will become the **Subject Matter Expert** (**SME**) for **eFX Pre-Trade application support** within the **Europe & Americas (E&A) region**.

Key Accountabilities

  • Being responsive in answering user queries from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of Westpac’s eFX trading and pricing systems.
  • Testing of system enhancements in consultation with key internal stakeholders.
  • Management of relationships with external suppliers and vendors.
  • Management of business expectations and delivery schedules.
  • Serving as a key liaison between internal business, technical, and operational stakeholders.
  • Adherence to the "Follow-the-Sun" support model and knowledge sharing with the team.
  • Effective communication with business and technology stakeholders.

Experience and Domain Knowledge

  • Experience in Financial Markets is essential, ideally within:
    • eFX sales
    • Trading
    • Application support
  • Strong understanding of FX products, including:
    • Spot transactions
    • Options
    • Swaps
    • Commodities
  • Familiarity with the London Benchmark process
  • Knowledge of single dealer and multi-bank platforms, such as:
    • FXall
    • 360T
    • FX Connect
    • EBS
    • Instinct (including client onboarding and account mapping)
  • Broad understanding of front-to-back business processes, encompassing:
    • Middle office
    • Risk management
    • Finance
    • Compliance
    • Treasury
  • Awareness of pre- and post-trade pricing and streamlined processing (straight-through processing)

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of:
    • Pricing and trade flows in low-latency eFX environments
    • Liquidity aggregation and price distribution
  • Experience supporting containerised environments, such as (Kubernetes) and (Docker)
  • Hands-on use of monitoring tools, including:
    • Elastic
    • Grafana
    • Prometheus
    • Splunk
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including:
    • (FIX) connectivity and log analysis
  • Experience with incident and problem management processes and tools, including:
    • ServiceNow
    • Jira
    • Confluence
  • Good systems knowledge across Linux, Windows, and networking concepts, including TCP/IP and Citrix
  • Standing knowledge of access management and scheduling tools, such as:
    • CyberArk
    • Control M
