EGSE Support Engineer – Satellite Assembly Clean Room
Expleo (Client Site: Stevenage)
Expleo, a leading Global Engineering Services Provider, seeks EGSE Support Engineers to support the deployment of and maintenance of existing EGSE (Equipment Ground Support) systems in satellite assembly clean rooms at our partner’s Stevenage facility.
The role requires 5 days per week on-site, with a strong preference for candidates with space industry-related test experience—particularly in military, aerospace, marine, or rail environments.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects, supporting essential ground systems for satellite production.

Key Responsibilities
- Documentation & validation
- Production of EGSE documentation (e.g., validation procedures, supporting NC reviews)
- System upgrades & support
- Procurement & manufacturing process management
- Validation & certification for use in AIT (Aявгеgory еднаes Test) facilities
- 1st-level troubleshooting
- Debugging & fault-finding
- Hardware commissioning
- Test procedure composition
- Operator training

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree in engineering (preferably electrical)
- Alternative: Suitable experience assessed alongside lower qualifications
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- EGSE/ATE expertise (Power, Data Handling, RF)
- Scripting & test coding (TCL, Central Checkout System (CCS5), similar)
- Procedure writing & familiarity with lab test equipment (Power Supplies, DMMs, Oscilloscopes)
Desired Skills
- Coding experience in systems/automation languages
- Satellite database management (SRDB, MIB format)
- Requirements management (RATIONAL DOORS a plus)
Experience (Industry Preference)
- Work in environmental testing/launch campaigns
- Knowledge of satellite avionics & serial data (RS4xx, MIL 1553, SpaceWire)
- Procedure & test report writing
- Non-conformance reporting
