Head of Plant Operations & Systems – Governance, Risk & Compliance

Lead a team and manage a designated plant area and systems across key dimensions:
- Governance, risk, and compliance
- Business planning & budget management
- Project & outage management
- Contract strategies & contract management
- Development & lifecycle of maintenance strategies
- Stakeholder management to drive business, departmental, and team operational targets

Your Responsibilities
Ensure responsibility, efficiency, and compliance across plant operations through:
- Developing and implementing governance, risk, and compliance strategies to align plant operations with:
- Company GMI-PEM, MAN, and SHE management systems.
- Business planning & budget management:
- Collating and integrating plant engineering/business plans.
- Managing ** bouw teolog maintenance, operations, and capital budgets** effectively.
- Project & outage management:
- Overseeing projects from concept through delivery.
- Ensuring safety, quality, cost, and time targets are met.
- Contract strategies & management:
- Leading contract negotiations with sophisticated technical/commercial expertise.
- Optimising contract performance in high-risk technical/commercial areas.
- Maintenance strategy development:
- Establishing and refining technical, cost, and compliance-performing maintenance plans.
- Stakeholder engagement:
- Proactively fostering networks to achieve business targets.
- Implementing best practice benchmarking.

Your Profile
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in power plant engineering, maintenance, and operations.
- Degree-level engineering qualification (or equivalent HNC/D) with recognised expertise.
- Project management:
- Appropriate experience in managing high-value, high-risk power plant projects.
- APMP Level D qualified (or working toward Level C proficiency).
- Contract management:
- Full technical, financial, and risk insights, including performance & cost modelling.
- Experience negotiating/communicating complex technical contracts.
- CME-certified (Contractor Management and Engagement), fit for Nominated Engineer/ERep/ERSHE roles.
- Safety leadership:
- Deep knowledge of safety best practice and regenerative safety culture.
- NOBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certified (or equivalent).
- Sustainability & planning:
- Proven operational excellence and change leadership qualities.
- First aid certification.
