Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage governance, risk, and compliance strategies to ensure the responsible operation of EGTL (Enfield, Grain & Taylors Lane) assets, while adhering to:
    • Company’s GMI-PEM, MAN, and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) management systems
  • Develop and manage the plant area and systems engineering business plan, integrating it into the overarching EGTL business plan
  • Manage the engineering and maintenance operational and capital budgets
  • Lead project and outage management from conception to delivery, ensuring responsible delivery against safety, quality, time, and cost targets
  • Executive strategic contract management from concept to delivery and performance management
    • Lead complex technical and commercial contract negotiations with your team
  • Design and implement maintenance strategies to meet technical, compliance, and cost performance targets
  • Ensure business targets are met and best practices employed, through:
    • Proactive networking
    • Effective stakeholder management
    • Continuous benchmarking

Your Profile

Technical & Operational Expertise

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in power plant engineering, maintenance, and operations
  • Degree-level qualification in:
    • Electrical and Control & Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent HNC/D with comparable experience)
  • Proven expertise in combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) asset management and operations
  • Project management certification (APMP Level D or equivalent), with progress towards APMP Project Manager Level C
  • Contract management expertise, including:
    • Contract negotiation and delivery assurance
    • Understanding of contract operational and financial risks
    • Training in Contractor Management & Engagement (CME)
    • Authorised to fulfil engineering representative roles (ERSHE, Nominated Engineers Representative, Instructing Engineer)
  • Excellent SAP maintenance management proficiency
  • Maintenance best practice execution knowledge

Safety & Performance Leadership

  • Extensive experience in safety leadership and fostering a regenerative safety culture
  • Qualified to NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification or equivalent
  • Operational Excellence Navigator status

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence to challenge established practices and drive transformational change
  • Leadership in:
    • Performance management
    • Motivational coaching and mentoring
    • Collaborative leadership with contract staff and cross-functional teams

Certifications & Compliance

  • Qualified and practicing First Aider
  • Accreditation with a recognised professional body (in progress)
