EHCP Keyworker – X6 Vacancies
Role Summary
Location: Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus Salary: £30,915 – £41,085 per annum (DOE and Qualifications) Leave: 27 days annual leave + Bank holidays Benefits: People’s Pension, Retail & Leisure Discounts, professional development, and college course access Hours: 37 hours per week (52 weeks/year) Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time (UK-based) Requirements: Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship not provided)
This is a UK-based role and eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory. All appointments are subject to passing an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check and producing satisfactory references.
About the Role
The Bedford College Group is recruiting six EHCP Keyworkers to join its Foundation Learning and Additional Learning Support department.
As an EHCP Keyworker, you will support the success of students through:

EHCP Provision & Compliance Leadership
- Ensure high-quality EHCP support aligned with Section F provision.
- Monitor and maintain compliance while focusing on learner progress and independence.

Annual Reviews & Statutory Processes
- Lead person-centred EHCP annual reviews.
- Produce high-quality reports while meeting statutory timelines and Local Authority requirements.

Progress Monitoring & Data-Led Intervention
- Track and analyse learner progress based on EHCP outcomes.
- Use data-driven systems to identify risks and deliver timely interventions.

Preparing for Adulthood & Mentoring Support
- Design and deliver Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) programmes.
- Provide targeted mentoring to enhance independence, wellbeing, and post-education progression.

Quality Assurance, Training & Partnerships
- Contribute to quality assurance through observations and audits.
- Train staff on inclusive best practice.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships while upholding safeguarding, EDI, and compliance standards.
About You
Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Relevant degree/vocational training in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

Specialist Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.

Essential Experience:
- Proven experience supporting young people with SEND/EHCPs.
- Experience leading annual reviews.
