In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking to recruit an Electrical Harness Installation (EHI) Routing Design Leader to support our exciting customer project on train design. The role will require training in Toulouse, France for 4-6m and then will be located in Derby, UK. We are looking for someone to start ideally in July 2026.
You will manage Electrical Harness installation resources and activities on the project for which you are responsible. You will be responsible of the electrical deliveries for each electrical baseline of the project. You will need to build and develop the EHI technical competency in the Team.
You will be accountable for the delivery of the right product at the right moment to the project Train Electrical Engineer, the product consisting into the complete electrical case or a set of electrical deliverables for each baseline and retrofit made of :
Harness Design workload on his/her project/tender, Application of the Metier rules and processes

You will be responsible for the delivery of harness 3D models from mechanical integration, managing the EHI QCD of your project, managing the EHI work-load with effective utilization of Harness designers and sub-contracting management (definition, monitoring, acceptance)
Performance Measurement/KPI's
Quality of his/her delivery (included sub-contractor delivery): 1st time quality rate > 90% (quality rate = modification validated OK / number of modifications applied) Respect of the delivery planning (included sub-contractor delivery): 100% on time delivery Level of application of standard PPL: 85% of PPL for interface connector and 100% for production break connector Configuration management of his/her deliverables: 100% of deliverables properly managed into configuration database Continuous improvement or Return on Experience (RoE) management from previous projects: Zero missing RoE

Requirements
Electrical engineering degree qualified Total experience greater than 5 Years Knowledge of Electrical engineering technical applications Experience in activity management (at least 2 years), Team management (at least 2 years), Train system and Harness Integration knowledge preferred, Understanding of Industrial and Harness manufacture in order to understand the "internal clients" requirements, Electrical 3D CAD experience (at least 3 years), Fluent English, with knowledge of French preferable Good Interpersonal and Communication skills
