About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to join our project team in Blyth, England, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices on site, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a strong safety culture across the project.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures across the project lifecycle
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health & safety standards and identify potential hazards
  • Assist in carrying out risk assessments and reviewing method statements (RAMS)
  • Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to safety requirements
  • Support incident investigations and assist in the implementation of corrective actions
  • Promote a strong safety culture through engagement with site teams and subcontractors
  • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions as required
  • Ensure all EHS documentation is maintained, accurate, and up to date
  • Attend Site Meetings, Safety Meetings, and Toolbox Talks
  • Support the preparation of EHS reports and safety performance metrics
  • Advise project teams on health & safety best practices and compliance requirements
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements
  • Identify and report EHS concerns and support their resolution

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or similar discipline
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in an EHS role within construction or engineering
  • Good knowledge of health & safety legislation, standards, and best practices
  • Experience supporting EHS activities on construction sites
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to engage with site teams and promote safe working practices
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent) are desirable
  • Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
