Job Description Summary

The EHS Manager is the independent EHS assurance lead for the EGL-1 HVDC Project, providing strategic leadership across the full project lifecycle to ensure risks are identified, assessed and controlled before activities commence. The role functions as an independent assurance authority, giving Project Leadership and the Client confidence that EHS risks are being effectively managed, with the authority to escalate risks and impose readiness hold points where safe execution has not been demonstrated.

Job Description

EHS Assurance Leadership: Lead all project EHS assurance activities; develop and maintain the Project EHS Assurance Plan and governance framework. Manage and develop 2 x Project EHS Specialists. Provide independent, evidence-based EHS inputs to support Project Leadership decision-making and act as GE Vernova’s EHS assurance focal point with key stakeholders.

Mobilisation & Construction Readiness: Lead mobilisation readiness assessments for all principal work packages and conduct site readiness reviews. Verify welfare, first aid and emergency preparedness arrangements are adequate. Manage formal readiness gate reviews and hold point decisions.

Design Safety & CDM Assurance: Conduct CDM 2015 compliance reviews; provide assurance on duty holder performance. Review and challenge design risk registers and support interface management with the Principal Designer and Client CDM duty holders. Promote safe-by-design principles and elimination of hazards at source.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
