EHS Manager
Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional, excited by the opportunity to play a key role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring the working environment is made progressively safer? Are you passionate about Health and Safety, with previous experience in a managerial role? We are seeking an EHS Manager to join our team at Peel Ports Logistics and help us keep the world moving!
Your Role
Join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Health, Safety and Environmental excellence across Peel Ports Logistics. As a key leader, you will drive the delivery of strategic EHS objectives, ensure statutory compliance, and embed a strong safety culture across all divisions and terminals. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll influence major operational decisions, champion continuous improvement, and support the successful implementation of change programmes that enhance performance, productivity and innovation.

You’ll lead by example, inspire teams, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at every level while ensuring the highest standards of safety, environmental stewardship and operational integrity. From developing policies and training programmes to coordinating audits, managing risk, and shaping long-term strategy, your expertise will directly contribute to the growth, resilience and success of the business.

What You'll Bring
You will have proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally in a senior/managerial role within a Port or similar high-risk operational environment. You will be an experienced accident investigator with a sound knowledge of root cause analysis. With excellent communication skills, you will have the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of the business.
You will hold a professional qualification in Health and Safety to Diploma level or above or hold CMIOSH status, and you will have strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation and its practical application within the workplace.
Knowledge and experience of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is essential. Holding a relevant WAMITAB qualification (or actively working towards one) would be highly advantageous.
A full valid driving licence is essential for this role. (Travel across the sites within Peel Ports Logistics)
